About Me

I have been working as a 'Sweep' for 3 years now having previously spent 30 years working in the Metropolitan Police. You may think it strange that I am now a Chimney Sweep but it is a role that allows me to keep relatively fit; exercises the mind and enables me to carry on meeting different people from all walks of life - something I have always enjoyed doing. Most importantly it gives me the opportunity to monitor and watch over some people that are unable to perhaps look after themselves and to ensure their devices/fires are kept working in a safe and efficient manner. After completing the relevant training with the 'Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps' I became a fully qualified Sweep. I take pride in providing a quality chimney sweeping service to all my customers and endeavour to do so in a courteous and reliable way. I define myself as a conscientious and trustworthy individual willing to get the job done with the minimum of fuss. 

As a member of the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps, I keep up-to-date with new regulations pertaining to solid fuel burning and have a large group of fellow sweeps that I can call on for advice. I have full public liability insurance and will issue you with a safety certificate on completion of my work. I am also DBS checked. It is very important when lighting a fire that you consider what you're burning - a clogged up flue will be problematic and in some extreme cases lead to chimney fires.
